Led by Carol Donaldson, the choir is inclusive of the diverse population of Wrexham. This is reflected in the choir’s repertoire, which includes songs sung in Welsh, Zulu, Swahili, Polish, Croatian and English. The choir is open to everyone, regardless of singing experience, with members aged from 20 to 84.
Wrexham One World Community has organised and participated in a number of performances in the past year, including the annual SANDs Remembrance Service, an International Women’s Day event at Theatr Clwyd, Wrexfest, singing the national anthems at the Racecourse for the Wales v Ireland rugby league European Championship game and a fundraising concert in Gwersyllt for Nightingale House.
Musical Director Carol is looking forward to leading the Singing Streets mass sing for the third year.
